Hong Kong Chinese Take Out Restaurant: Authentic Chinese Cuisine in Essex, CT

Its just take out but there are a few tables and chairs.. But i love this place. The food is always good and i like the people. I moved to my other house in another town, but when ever i have chinese i drive there.

Great little spot for your standard Chinese Take-out. Its not a "hidden gem" or anything like that, but the food is consistently tasty, hot, quick, and fairly-priced. I don't recommend dining in, though there are a few tables. They've literally never gotten an order wrong in the 5 years I've been going here maybe once a week or so (its an easy lunch/dinner, don't judge me). Basically, they perfectly do exactly what you'd expect a small American/Chinese place to do. Absolutely worth keeping on your list of "cheap & easy" takeout places. Big recommend on their Sesame Chicken.

I always get Chinese food here. It is in a subtle location so not many people know about it, but this place is amazing. The food is delicious. My favorite thing here is the dumplings. They are great. The staff here is kind and they are much faster than many other Chinese restaurants in the area. This location is also much more clean then many other Chinese restaurants in the area. They require masks and are very sanitary and safe which makes me feel like my food is always gonna be safe and sanitary. The prices are relatively cheap for a Chinese restaurant, especially for combinations. I prefer this place over golden China and taste of China because the quality and prices. Hopefully more people find out about this restaurant because the food here is great!

A real hidden gem! The food is light and fresh, not too heavy with sauces or grease. There is the standard selection of food offerings with a few house specials that are fantastic. The staff is very friendly and professional plus they have the standard sauce packets and chopsticks right out on the counter! Definitely worth a visit!

My co-workers and I drive 15(ish) minutes from Deep River to order here because our local place isn't great. Hong Kong's food is delicious. Your typical take out, but with the quality and taste being the same every time. The two running the phones and register know what they're doing. They take your order with Swift efficiency, without coming off as rushed or rude. I've called in during "lunch rush" with quite an extensive list, often with certain substitutions, and have never had an order messed up. They get it right, every time. Price is right, food is fast and tasty. A perfect lunch for myself and my co-workers. Well worth the travel time for us!!

Absolutely delicious food, ready in much less time than I expected, and had food that I could safely eat with a cow milk allergy, and didn't blink for a sec at us masking. If timing on our trip had worked out we would've absolutely come back and gotten more of the delicious dumplings. Highly recommending this tasty spot! N/a rating for atmosphere as we were getting takeout.

My family and I order from here often. Even on busy nights you still don't wait long. Their prices are very reasonable. Maybe one time the general tso's chicken was a little stringy/chewy but other than that they have always been right on the mark with their food. My favorite is the curry chicken. I wouldn't mind it a little more spicy but it is absolutely delicious nonetheless. In this area they by far have the best tasting chinese food!
